Presentation Guidelines

All presentations will be in the English language.

ORAL PRESENTATIONS

Each presentation will be assigned to a thematic session on the program and the presenting author will be allocated a period of 12 minutes to conduct the presentation. Following the presentation, there will be a period of 3 minutes for a short Q&A session regarding the presentation. The time limits and the Q&A session will be moderated by the chair of the session. Please ensure that you structure your presentation in a manner that will comply with those time limits.

POSTER PRESENTATIONS

Posters should be no more than 84.1 x 118.9 cm in dimensions. It is advised that a sufficiently large font (more than 14 pts) is used for the text and no more than 60% of the poster area is occupied by text, with at least 40% consisting of figures, graphs, tables, and images. Graphic poster presentations should be readable from a 2.5 m distance. The use of color graphics will enhance poster readability and attractiveness. There is an option to print the poster locally, in a collaborating bookstore, for an additional fee.

There will be two poster sessions on Monday 9 and Tuesday 10 of July, as indicated in the symposium program. Each presenting author is expected to mount their poster on one of the stands in the poster room, by the end of the lunch break preceding the poster session in which the poster will be assigned. Poster boards will be numbered consecutively and according to session number (you can find the poster numbers in the file Poster_Sessions). Adhesive material will be available at the registration desk, in order for you to mount your poster. Please do not use any other method of attaching your poster to the boards.

The author(s) are expected to be present in the poster area during the poster session, in order to answer questions from other participants. In addition, each poster will be allocated a 3 minute period towards the end of one of a thematically relevant oral presentation sessions, in which the author will have the opportunity to briefly describe the work related to the poster (as found in the program).
